Restaurateur Bruno Serato, owner of the Anaheim White House, will be the 8th recipient of the Walk of Stars honor.
Bruno Serato, illustrious owner of the landmark restaurant the Anaheim White House and founder of the nonprofit organization Caterina’s Club, will be the 8th recipient of the Anaheim Walk of Stars. The ceremony will be held Tuesday, August 19 at 2 p.m. at Harbor Blvd. and East Shuttle Way.
Previous honorees include Walt Disney, Carl Karcher and Gene Autry. The ceremony will be attended by Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle, local dignitaries and several dozen “motel kids,” or the underprivileged youth that are fed every night through Caterina’s Club.
The highlight of the celebration will be the unveiling of the world’s biggest “Jackie O,” an original Anaheim White House dessert that has garnered international acclaim.
The restaurant recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and is widely considered one of the premier restaurants in Southern California.
“I’m honored to receive the Anaheim Walk of Stars distinction,” says Serato, who came to the U.S. from is native Italy 25 years ago. “It’s a great honor and I’m humbled to be in the company of those who have preceded me.”
