He’s back by popular demand. After marking his debut as a chef at a special dinner held last month at the Anaheim White House, 10-year-old C.J. Luis will return to the restaurant on Tuesday, Oct 13 at 6 p.m. to prepare a four-course dinner this time benefiting a nonprofit program dedicated to feeding “motel kids.” These underprivileged youngsters are so named because their poor, working class families are relegated to living in cheap motel rooms and oftentimes don’t have the money to feed them. Reservations must be made by Friday, October 9 by calling (714) 772-1381 or visiting www.anaheimwhitehouse.com.
The young chef will prepare a trio of appetizers including his own version of bruschetta as well as a variety of fruit and vegetables. A salad of Romaine with cucumbers, fresh tomatoes and parsley will precede the entrée course of farfalle pasta topped with veal, onions, basil and tomatoes. Honey panna cotta with fresh berries will be served for dessert.
