(Acclaimed Restaurant Continues Tradition Of Offering Exquisitely Styled Cuisine)
The Anaheim White House is sweetening things up by introducing a new dessert menu for 2007. Renowned for its extravagant menu of critically acclaimed fare, the restaurant’s culinary force Bruno Serato and Pastry Chef David Lorenz have whipped up 10 new after-dinner delicacies in the restaurant’s tradition of serving exquisitely styled cuisine with visual cues taken from the fashion and celebrity worlds. The new deserts range in price from $8.95 to $10.95.
“Desserts are one of my passions and I love creating new ones that are as visually stunning as they are delectable,” said Serato. “To me, the creative process for creating these new desserts is like painting a work of art. Each of the ingredients must come together perfectly to ensure that the dessert pleases both the eye and the palate.”
The Anaheim White House’s new dessert menu includes:
• Chocolate Illusion -- A delicate chocolate dome crafted from praline and butter wafers, topped with cream and served with an orange salad.
• Grand Marnier Soufflé -- A light and fluffy soufflé infused with Grand Marnier liqueur and served with chocolate ganache, crème Anglaise and Chantilly whipped cream.
• Pera Cotta -- A poached Bartlet pear stuffed with pistachios, almonds, walnuts and chocolate baked in puff pastry and drizzled in caramel and chocolate sauce.
• Almond Panna Cotta -- A traditional Italian “cooked cream” dessert with baked vanilla beans and toasted almonds.
• Fruit Tartlet -- A sweet butter and sugar tart brushed with a thin layer of chocolate and filled with rich pastry cream and topped with fresh fruit in an apricot glaze.
• Apple Tart -- Puff pastry topped with almond paste and baked green apples and served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
• Chocolate Banana Tart -- Puff pastry topped with caramelized banana slices and vanilla gelato and drizzled with vanilla and chocolate sauces.
• Tiramisu -- Classic sugar biscuits dipped in espresso, topped with Mascarpone sweet cream cheese and sprinkled with cocoa.
• Jacqueline O. Dessert Assortment -- An artistically arranged selection of the pastry chef’s finest daily selections in bite size portions.
