(100 Guests Unite To Help Those Devastated By Recent Disaster)

Some hope was offered to the victims of the earthquake that devastated the Abruzzo region of Italy thanks to an impromptu fundraiser organized by local restaurateur Bruno Serato. He opened the doors of his Anaheim White House recently to 100 guests and raised $5,000 for the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), which is organizing relief efforts for victims of the recent disaster. Guests, who nibbled on hors d’oeuvres and sipped Champagne, learned details about the disaster and how they could get further involved. The Anaheim White House coordinated efforts with Relief Pod International and the Orange County Italian Cultural Association.

“I’m pleased that so many people attended the last-minute fundraiser and offered to get involved through their generosity and support,” said Serato, who is of Italian descent. “This was a disaster of immense proportions and they need our help. I will continue to do everything in my power to help them on their road to recovery.”

Serato suggested that those interested in supporting the effort may do so by donating or contacting:
