ANAHEIM WHITE HOUSE HOSTS “AMERICAN IDOL” FINALE FUNDAISER MAY 20

(Public Invited To Watch Lisa Tucker Perform, Enjoy Special Menu & Earn Giveaways)

The next best thing to sitting in the audience for the final episode of this season’s “American Idol” will be attending the finale fundraiser at the Anaheim White House where former Idol Lisa Tucker (season 5) will perform, a special menu will be offered and giveaways will be distributed, announced owner Bruno Serato. The evening will serve to raise funds for Caterina’s Club, a nonprofit responsible for feeding 50,000 of Orange County’s “motel kids.” Reservation may be made by calling (714) 772-1381.

The evening will kick off with Tucker, an Anaheim resident who recently inked a recording contract with (?), singing one of her signature tunes. Guests will have an opportunity to order from the menu or make a selection from one of two featured specials -- each named after one of the finalists -- as a way of casting their vote for their favorite performer. Some complimentary dinner certificates will be issued to those correctly answering trivia questions pertaining to “American Idol.”

“’American Idol has proven to be a national phenomenon and we thought we might serve as a gathering place for those who enjoy the show,” said Serato. “We’re grateful that Lisa Tucker has so graciously agreed to be a part of this special evening, which will certainly help us in our fundraising efforts.”

Serato founded Caterina’s Club in honor of his beloved mother, Caterina Lunardi, with the mission of making sure that the region’s most vulnerable population – its children -- receives a hot meal before they are tucked into bed. Each day at 6 p.m., hundreds of dinners are prepared and delivered to feed the area’s “motel” children, thus named because their parents are so poor that they are relegated to living in low-cost motel rooms. To ensure that nothing prevents the deliveries from being made, Serato purchased a fully equipped van and donated it to the Boys & Girls Club to facilitate the deliveries and any other critical transportation needs.

Situated in a historic national landmark mansion dating to 1909, the restaurant offers a quixotic menu of northern Italian/French fare, extensive wine list, unparalleled service and an elegant setting to create a dining experience that is timeless, remarkable and without equal. As a result, the restaurant has received such coveted distinctions as the “International Five Star Diamond Award” from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences and top rankings in the Zagat Dining Guide. Among its celeb clientele: Madonna, Sidney Portier, Gwen Stefani, Oscar de la Hoya and Presidents Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush.
