COMMERCIAL LEGEND RODNEY ALLEN RIPPY TO COOK UP FUNDRAIDER WITH ANAHEIM WHITE HOUSE OWNER JULY 22
(Chef Rippy Will Prepare His Own Version of “Jumbo Jack� To Kick Off Month of Fundraising)

America’s first commercial superstar during the early ‘70s, Rodney Allen Rippy, helped place Jack In The Box on the map as a major fast food player. The 40 year old businessman, actor, writer and producer enjoys the taste of life, mixed with a dash of nostalgia, Rippy is confident that his suc cess will continue and looks forward to cooking up some great burgers for some very deserving OC children. Rippy and restaurateur Bruno Serato of the Anaheim White House have announced a fundraiser aimed at helping out Anaheim’s “motel children,� so named because their poor, working class families are often relegated to living in cramped, inexpensive, motel rooms. Sadly these families often struggle to have dinner at night. The two will prepare Rippy’s interpretation of a Jumbo Jack, the very burger he made famous, on Wednesday, July 22 from 4 p.m.20– 7 p.m. Cost is $15 per person and proceeds will benefit Caterina’s Club, the nonprofit established by Serato to feed the 35,000 underprivileged kids each year. The burger will re main on the Anaheim White House menu for 30 days in an attempt to generate additional funds.
“In this day and age of belt tightening, this low cost fundraiser allows nearly everyone a chance to support Caterina’s Club and I am delighted to be teaming with Rodney on this fun and worthwhile endeavor,� said Serato.
Added Rippy, “As soon as I learned about the plight of these kids, I wanted to help. Bruno is an angel and I’m proud to b e teaming up with him to raise some much-needed funds.�
