Charity Golf Tournament To Benefit SoCal's Hungry Children September 15

Golfers who have a soft spot for children are encouraged to sign up for the Secure One Capital Wholesale Lending Golf Tournament benefiting Caterina’s Club, which feeds hungry children, houses families in need and trains and lands jobs for at-risk youth. The event will be held on Friday, September 15 starting at 11 a.m. at Strawberry Farms Golf Club (11 Strawberry Farm Road) in Irvine. Organizers say the tournament will feature a Million Dollar Shootout sponsored by Ytel a communications software company, in which the person scoring a hole-in-one will earn $1,000,000. A second hole-in-one opportunity at one of the course’s par threes will earn the golfer a new Mercedes-Benz, sponsored by Fletcher Jones Motorcars.

Former LA Rams legendary quarterback Vince Ferragamo will host a VIP meet and greet as well as the awards dinner. He will be joined by former California Angels pitcher Clyde Wright and celebrity chef Bruno Serato, founder of Caterina’s Club and owner of the Anaheim White House restaurant.

Serato established Caterina's Club in 2005. It has served well over 1.5 million meals and influence has extended far beyond Southern California to include Chicago, New York, Texas, Mexico and Italy. Not content to merely feed children in need, Serato has extended his mission by moving many of the “motel families” into permanent housing and launching the Hospitality Program, which seeks to divert at-risk high school students by introducing them to opportunities in the food, hospitality and service industries.
